What’s Happening This Week at the Oaks
Building new rustic steps to The Conservancy Park for the community shelter.
The Vision
To pioneer a new residential community on Lake Tippecanoe that seamlessly integrates with nature while paying homage to the rich history of the former Baptist camp spanning a century. By pairing thoughtful planning with low-impact design, we aim to create a neighborhood that preserves the environment, fostering a connection to the past and viability to today’s design. The Oaks will set the bar high for family living, focusing on free-flowing and nature experiences.
The Waterfront
Five expansive 75 x 300-foot-deep lots with panoramic views, sandy beach, and level building sites are available. Carriage houses, secondary garages, a pickleball court, or a grassy play area are also possible.
The Overlook
Six large, picturesque lots boasting stunning hilltop views with majestic towering oaks and breathtaking wooded vistas. Ravine and lake lots with direct access to all the conservation areas offers. Designated dock space with storage cabanas is included with the purchase. Access to Shelter Cove boardwalk provides swimming, fishing, stellar turtle hunting, and family fun! The Conservancy Park
A preserved natural space featuring a tranquil stream meandering through a dedicated conservation area. Pawpaw Trail is a walking path inviting wanted exploration and leading to Bluebird Meadow. This grassy area will be a haven for play. Sports, picnics, and family fun! Native plantings encourage bees, bird life, and colorful wildflower areas.
The quiet beauty of the former outdoor Baptist Chapel will remain for the use of all residents. Dedicated to Reverend Floyd Smith, the camp’s founder and visionary, this iconic structure has been repaired and will be a landmark for The Oaks. A farm table with salvaged church pews, a vintage wood-burning outdoor fireplace, and a sitting wall inlaid with limestone camper cabin headers create a loving and meaningful presence.
